The exhibition, titled “Eternal (Kalpa)”, examines the relationship between human culture and the natural world. It brings together artistic research and exchanges across diverse disciplines, including architecture, music, visual art, theatre, performance, design, film, literature, and the sciences.
Wu Chi-Yu presents Useful Cinema, a work that reconfigures labour and memory through instruction-driven processes, tracing a trajectory from industrial imagery to AI-generated visuals and revealing the generative forces of modernity within cycles of resources and data. His Stories of Celluloid series comprises four video and installation works that illuminate the transhistorical connections between Taiwan’s camphor industry, celluloid, and the global film economy, resonating with Phuket’s own historical development shaped by tin mining and rubber production.
